Restorative Dentistry – Juno Beach, FL
Rehabilitates Ailing Smiles for Stunning Results
They say that into every life, a little rain must fall. It’s also true that every smile is going to encounter a little damage at some point. Thorough and regular oral hygiene, as well as routine trips to a general dentist, can help keep tooth decay, dental damage, infection, and tooth loss to a minimum, but so many factors affect the health of your smile – it’s difficult to account for all of them. That’s why you shouldn’t be embarrassed if you find yourself needing restorative dental care from Juno Beach Smiles.
Featured Restorative Services
If a tooth is broken, we can repair it with a porcelain crown. If you experience extensive damage, we can recreate an environment of health with a full-mouth reconstruction. Missing teeth? We provide multiple tooth replacement options, including dental implants and crown and bridgework.
dental Crown & Fixed Bridge
Dental crowns are one of the most commonly used restorations. Crowns can be made from a number of materials including gold, porcelain bonded to metal, and ceramic. These restorations are designed to fit over the top of a damaged tooth protecting it from additional decay or wear and restoring the full form and function. We may recommend dental crowns for the following reasons:
- To repair severely decayed, damaged, or cosmetically flawed teeth
- To protect and strengthen root canal treated teeth
- Connected to a dental implant to replace a single missing tooth
- To support a fixed bridge, dental crowns are attached to healthy teeth on either side of the replacement tooth
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays allow our team to provide a conservative treatment option for patients who have experienced tooth decay or damage too extensive to be repaired with a filling, but not severe enough for a crown. Inlays and onlays are the happy medium between these two restorative solutions. Inlays are recommended for patients who’ve experienced decay or damage between the cusps (raised part so of the tops of teeth), and onlays are recommended if the restoration needs to cover one or more of the cusps or part of the sides of teeth.
Full-Mouth Reconstruction
Patients who’ve experienced extensive tooth loss or dental wear may need to undergo full-mouth reconstruction. This may include any number of cosmetic and restorative dentistry procedures that address functional and cosmetic flaws and fully repair even the most damaged smiles. We offer a number of treatments to completely renew oral health, relieve pain and discomfort, and leave patients with picture-perfect smiles. Each full-mouth reconstruction plan is customized to meet the individual patient needs, schedule, and budget.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
One of the most common restorative dentistry procedures is dental fillings. For a very long time, silver amalgam was used to fill in places where decay had taken hold, causing cavities. Silver amalgam fillings cause dark spots on the teeth, which doesn’t lead to the most attractive results. Also, amalgam fillings aren’t the best option for your health, either. They can actually cause damage to the teeth, and they contain small amounts of the toxic substance mercury. These are all good reasons for us to use composite resin tooth-colored fillings instead. Composite resin is strong, durable, and most importantly, natural-looking, keeping your smile looking healthy and all white. No dark metal spots! Composite resin fillings also don’t contain any toxic substances, making them an excellent choice for your dental health.
Full & Partial Dentures
Today, dentures are sturdy, comfortable, and more modern than ever before. Here in Juno Beach, our doctors will be glad to design the ideal prosthetic for your smile, whether you’re in need of a full model to cover an entire arch of missing teeth or a partial to fill in certain gaps while leaving remaining tooth structure intact. In addition to traditional removable models, implant-retained dentures are strongly recommended as a reconstructive option because of their improved stability and oral health benefits.
Tooth Extractions
At Juno Beach Smiles, extraction is never our first choice for your care. Patients can rest assured that our doctors will do everything possible to restore health and vitality to your natural teeth – however, there are situations where this procedure may become necessary to preserve both your smile and your overall wellbeing. These situations may involve advanced periodontal disease, severe tooth decay, or a traumatic injury as the cause. Extraction is also typically recommended for third molars (wisdom teeth), which can cause impaction and overcrowding because of their late arrival into an already full mouth of teeth. You will be kept as comfortable as possible during your extraction procedure, and Dr. Riley and Dr. Keuning offer a variety of transformative reconstructive services for replacing lost teeth durably and beautifully.
Root Canal Therapy
If you have a severe toothache, you may need root canal therapy. During this procedure, we gently clean infected or damaged tissue out of a tooth’s interior chamber. We also remove the tooth’s nerve so it can no longer send pain signals to your brain. Although many people are afraid of root canal therapy, there is no reason to fear it! Thanks to modern techniques and the gentle touch of our expert dentists, you should feel little to nothing while we are working to save your tooth and preserve your smile.
